Our Creations

Here at Mystic Mead, we are making meads, cysers, braggots… basically honey related beverages of all kinds, using local raw honey from the Pacific Northwest as well as natural ingredients whenever possible. Our goal is to bring interesting, creative, and delicious fermented honey drinks from our kitchen to yours.

Weirdmageddon

This one was released for the Summerween event hosted by Bardic Brewing & Cider and us June 22, 2021.

“Weirdmageddon” is a sour plum melomel. It’s off-dry with just enough sweetness to balance the tartness. Ringing in at 11.5% ABV, this mead is one to be cautious of… like a certain triangular interdimensional fiend.

(The glasses and dino are references from our costumes for the event.)

Orange You Glad

We used a few different varieties or oranges to make this one. Sweet with plenty of orange… what more can I say?

BADWOLF

Our rose flavored mead. Made using both rose hips and rose buds during the fermentation process, this one is strong and shines like the heart of a TARDIS while retaining a delicate rose flavor.

Pineapple, blueberries, and brown sugar as ingredients for mead

I’ve Heard It Both Ways

Blueberry-Pineapple, Pineapple-Blueberry… I’ve heard it both ways. We were inspired by the cult TV show, “Psych” to put together two classic flavors into a melomel mead (mead with fruit). The results were a sweet fruity flavor with just a little “funk” that comes when you ferment pineapple (if you are a fan of the fermented pineapple drink tepache, you’ll love this).

Red Alert

“Red Alert” is a sweet and tart spiced cranberry mead melomel. This small batch was the first Mystic Mead release and was sold exclusively at Bardic Brewing and Cider in Spokane Valley, lasting only one night.

Always working on something new 🙂
