Welcome
Hi there!!
I’m your host MysticMead. I’ve been brewing Mead and Beer since 1998 and have brewed and bottled MANY batches in that time. I have even entered a few of my Meads into a local Home Brew contest with great results. Including a second and third place finish. Brewing Mead is a time consuming process (mostly waiting for it to finish fermenting) but the end results are more than worth it. Some of my favorite Meads are Tupelo, Blueberry/Clover, and Apple/Clover/Cinnamon.
In addition to Mead, I also brew my Own beer. I spent 2 years living in Germany and learned what real beer should taste like. Since then, I have had a hard time drinking the watered down tasteless stuff we call beer here in America. Beer brews in a much shorter time than Mead so it’s a great thing to do while waiting on the Mead to finish. I currently do Extract/partial mash brewing for beer. I have been slowly gathering the equipment needed to start all grain beer brewing. Until then, I have been extremely happy with extract beers as has anyone how tasted them.
If you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll be happy to answer them.
